Interest Groups are the heart of Fortnightly! Please check the latest Fortnightly Club newsletter for details. Call the interest group chair(s), listed in the newsletter, to join as many groups as you like. Most interest groups send out monthly emails with details of upcoming meetings and events. In addition, we host club-wide events like a new member welcome cocktail, Fall welcome party, Holiday Luncheon, Spring luncheon and Annual Meeting, Shakespeare's Pizza Fundraisers, etc. A great way to strengthen friendships is to join the executive board or serve on a committee.
Our group's purpose is to welcome new, as well as old, members back! This is a casual gathering of members. Our mission.....slow down, take a deep breath and enjoy each other's company. What better way to make new friends but also, renew old friendships, with a casual lunch or maybe a glass of iced tea! Hope to see you!

Chair: Dali Meyers, 573-256-5176 (dalimeyers@yahoo.com)While the life of Fortnightly largely occurs within its many Interest Groups, members are invited to a minimum of three club-wide gatherings each year. New and returning members get acquainted at the annual Fall Welcome often held at the home of the MU President. The club gathers in December for a holiday luncheon. A club-wide luncheon and business meeting is held each spring to elect the new Board. Other club-wide activities include, for example, a Shakespeare’s Pizza Fundraiser around Halloween and a Plant Your Garden Fundraiser at the Strawberry Hill Farms in April.
The Fortnightly Board consists of elected officers, the retiring president, chairpersons of the standing committees e.g. budget and finance, newsletter, courtesy, membership, social and photography, and the chairperson of the Scholarship committee. Board activities include monthly meetings, as necessary or at the request of the president, to transact the necessary business concerned with the welfare of the organization. Typical business includes disbursing monies as indicated in the adopted budget and approving the activities of the committees.
